One of my favorite Montreal neighborhoods is Old Montreal, also known as Vieux Montreal. This district is steeped in rich culture and history. The streets in the old port are cobblestone and the architecture is a good representation of the old and the new with a wide variety of styles. Check out the link below to see the list of some of Old Montreal’s historic buildings. This district is an urban hub for those who like to work and live around a walkable neighborhood that features a variety of upscale and trendy restaurants, cafes art galleries and boutiques. For those visiting Montreal there a quite a few good hotels to choose from. This Quartier has old factories that have been converted to some beautiful lofts, apartments that have retained some of their old world charm featuring the original brick walls. enjoying a renaissance due to it’s constant updating
